500000 invested as Magma Products launches Great Yarmouth …
Magma Products, a leading oil and gas engineering consultancy, has invested 500,000 to establish a new base in Great Yarmouth and in the process create around 30 new jobs by the end of 2014.
Andrew Sannick, who has more than 25 years experience in the oil and gas industry, has been appointed general manager of the new operation, which will also feature a specialist equipment hire and maintenance services division focused upon the southern North Sea and European markets.
Paul Rushton, managing director of Aberdeen-based Magma Products, said: The opening of a Great Yarmouth operation is a key strategic step forward in our business growth plans. And in Andrew we have appointed a leading industry figure; someone respected in the market for his knowledge and project expertise.
Andrew said: I m delighted to be joining Magma Products. Our ability to tackle high-end, demanding engineering projects sets us apart from others in the market place.
We re now looking to grow the Great Yarmouth team and build Magma Products reputation in our field of expertise.
Initially six jobs will be created at Great Yarmouth, with the aim to add between 20 and 30 people by the end of the year.
Magma Products, which provides specialist offshore commissioning and start-up services, has grown from a business employing six people in 2011 to one with a 90-strong team today.
At the beginning of 2013, the company invested more than 750,000 in new offices at the Spires Business Park in Aberdeen.
The new Great Yarmouth operation, encompassing a 6,600 sq ft facility, will deliver complex brownfield, greenfield and ongoing maintenance projects, through the deployment of a specialist and proven engineering support model.
The operation, at Beacon Park, has office, workshop and warehouse facilities.
Andrew previously worked in key project roles with Shell, Salvesen Oilfield Technology, BJ (Baker), PSL Energy Services, Halliburton and most recently EnerMech, where he was a business development manager.
