Evo-Stik Division One South team King s Lynn Town have signed former Coventry City midfielder David Bell.

Linnets manager Gary Setchell has called the 30-year-old his best signing ever .

Bell has signed from Notts County, who he joined last summer after being released by the Sky Blues.

He made a 500,000 move to City from Norwich in 2009 and went on to make 98 appearances during an injury-hit four-year spell with the club.

Setchell said: “David is a quality, quality player and too say I am chuffed is the understatement of all time.

“David will bring us all kinds of options not to mention a wealth of experience gained from playing in the football league, experience is something that you cannot take away from anyone.

Bell said: “I am now at a stage where I want to be playing and also enjoying myself.

I am taking my coaching badges and doing this side by side is the perfect combination for me.”
