Security Officer – SIA certified

Who will you be working for?

You will be joining an exceptionally prestigious London estate comprising of a range heritage buildings, residences, busy offices and dining facilities offering a wide range of events and banqueting functions. Iconic location based in a unique environment with a totally inimitable style. What will you be doing?

This role requires a dedicated client facing professional to be the heart of a particularly slick and high profile security service. You will be part of a team of 8 security officers working on a shift basis – 4 people on and 4 people off at any one time. The required shifts/hours are 42 hours per week, 4 days on, 4 days off either 9am to 9pm or 9pm to 9am.

The role is a mix of desk based (CCTV, issuing passes, etc.) and proactive patrolling. The site is accessible 24 hours a day plus in the evenings there will be people attending events who will be leaving late at night. Key duties include:

* Monitoring all fixed security devices including CCTV cameras, access control systems, intruder alarms and fire alarm panels and responding appropriately to all alarms as directed. * Maintaining a security watch of the whole estate during the silent hours including periodic foot patrols internally and externally. * To carry out foot patrols of the Estate, maintaining a high profile for security by engaging with all stakeholders and members of the public, often VIPs and high profile visitors.

* Responding to out of hours emergencies, coordinating and acting as point of contact for emergency services. What are we looking for? We are looking for someone with a passion for providing a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors alike: you will have a strong track record of working directly with the public and VIPs and a current, valid SIA licence is essential along with a working knowledge of security systems, CCTV, access control and intruder and fire alarms

You will be a team player and genuine role model who can remain calm under pressure, be patient, well presented at all times and offer a measured approach to all tasks.

Basic administrative skills and some knowledge of facilities management would be advantageous but not essential.

Polished presentation and excellent verbal communication is non negotiable.
