Firefighters from across Shropshire have been in Norfolk to help deal with the worst tidal surge to hit the east coast of England in more than 60 years.

Pumps, boats and a team of highly trained personnel, including a flood management expert and a welfare officer, left the county on Thursday evening after Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service requested help from across the country. They were sent to Gorleston Fire Station, up the coast from Great Yarmouth. There they met officers from Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Surrey, Berkshire, Staffordshire, Hertfordshire and Norfolk fire services where a massive emergency plan was formulated.

Group manager Shaun Baker, who is based at Shrewsbury Fire Station, was appointed one of four senior officers helping to co-ordinate the Norfolk operation.

Speaking on his return to Shropshire last night, Mr Baker said: The predictions from the Environment Agency and local emergency services was that there was going to be the worst tidal surge in 60 years. We went down at 4pm on Thursday and were held initially at a holding area.

We were then sent on to a fire station in Great Yarmouth and took with us boats and large volume pumping assets. Amongst us was both retained fire fighters and full-time firefighters.

Without the support of our employers, Shropshire would not have been able to offer the level of support they did.

The retained firefighters were able to drop everything and travel at a moment s notice. I helped with the planning of the possible evacuation of 9,000 people from the Great Yarmouth area. Fortunately we did not need to evacuate these people but we did have to carry out checks on flood defences in the area to check that they hadn t been breached and were holding firm.

Our main worry was the high tide, which was due at 11pm on Thursday and 11am yesterday morning.

However, the boat was not needed. Mr Baker described how a change in the weather provided a turn of fortune for the thousands of households in Great Yarmouth.

Mother Nature really helped us out. The water only needed about another inch before it would have been over the defences.

We were very, very fortunate.

Thousands of people who were evacuated from their homes will be assessing the damage after finally being allowed to return to their homes yesterday. The Environment Agency (EA) said 1,400 homes were flooded, including 300 in Boston, Lincolnshire, one of the worst affected areas. Improving weather last night saw flood waters recede in many areas, and the EA has removed more than 200 flood warnings, 106 in the Anglian area alone.

Emergency services downgraded risk levels, and the majority of people evacuated from their homes have left rest centres.

Devastated residents in Hemsby, Norfolk, watched their cliff-top homes disappear into the sea as the tidal surge hit on Thursday night. A lifeboat station was also reportedly washed into the sea.

Hundreds of people were evacuated in Boston, Lincolnshire and Clacton-on-Sea in Essex.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) said two women, two babies in pushchairs and a dog were rescued after being hit by a large wave at Louisa Bay in Broadstairs, Kent.

The two people who died on Thursday were lorry driver Robert Dellow, 54, from Lowestoft in Suffolk, whose vehicle overturned in West Lothian, Scotland, and an 83-year-old man who was hit by a falling tree in Retford, Nottinghamshire.

December is the one time of year you re more likely to be social and get into conversations with other people this is where true networking takes place, and we want you to see this as not as a business interruption, but as a superb time of year for you to expand your networks. It s not widely known that 98 per cent of businesses rely on word of mouth referrals to gain new business, yet only three per cent have a strategy for gaining new business this way, so once again we will be holding our BforB Christmas festivities where those who attend will be helped through our inactive learning, the BforB way of engaging others in a meaningful way, because anyone you might want to meet or contact is only four or five people down the line.

Event Organised By

BforB Networking

We meet bi-weekly to help build the relationships that helps you find the business you are looking for.

Although we have a reputation for taking networking seriously you can be yourself with BforB s relaxed, informal style; yet structured for efficient and effective use of your business time.

BforB wants you to uncover your hidden network and nurture and build it to a new level of support, action and results.

One secrets of success is not what you know, but who you know and who knows you. Everyone has a vast network of resources already in existence; however, it is often forgotten, neglected or ignored. Yet it can be rejuvenated and that is what BforB groups are all about.

Thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes and two people have been killed as the worst tidal surge in 60 years sweeps down the British coast.

Emergency services have launched rescue operations as the severe weather, bringing hurricane-force winds and flooding, moves south from Scotland, which was hit by gusts of up to 142mph.

One man was killed when he was struck by a falling tree in a park in Retford, Nottinghamshire, and a lorry driver died when the HGV he was driving was blown on top of two cars on the A801 near Bathgate, West Lothian.

Four others were injured in the accident.

Thousands of homes in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Kent are being evacuated as people across the east coast prepare for the surges that officials say could put lives at risk.

Prime Minister David Cameron has called two emergency meetings to discuss strategy.

Across England and Wales, the Environment Agency (EA) has issued more than 50 severe flood warnings, which are only issued when flooding poses a significant threat to life .

The severe warnings the highest category are in place for coastal areas in East Anglia, the Midlands and Kent.

The agency said communities along the North Sea coast from Northumberland to the Thames Estuary and Kent, in addition to those on the Irish Sea coast from Cumbria down to Cheshire, could see significant coastal flooding tonight and into Friday.

weather

The EA said in some areas sea levels could be higher than those during the devastating floods of 1953 which battered the east coast of England and claimed the lives of hundreds of people.

Defences built since then including the Thames and Hull barriers mean that many parts of the country are much better protected, he said.

BRITAIN-SCOTLAND-NIRELAND-WEATHER

However, some coastal flood defences could be overtopped by the combined effect of high tides, high winds and a large tidal surge, he said.

The Met Office said there had been severe gales of between 60mph and 80mph across Scotland and northern parts of England, and some mountainous regions in Aberdeenshire and Inverness-shire reported speeds of around 140mph.

In Norfolk, 9,000 homes are being evacuated as local officials attempt to stem the damage from the coastal surge.

The Ministry of Defence has also confirmed a small number of soldiers is helping the flood defence effort in Norfolk.

A further 1,000 properties are to be evacuated in affected areas in Suffolk and some residents in Jaywick, near Clacton-on-Sea in Essex, are also being urged to leave their homes.

Local officials are setting up emergency accommodation facilities and handing out sandbags to help people protect their homes, police said.

Police in Humberside have also declared an emergency situation as they prepared for coastal surges from this evening.

In Newcastle, the pavement around the base of the Tyne Bridge, the Millennium Bridge and the city s Crown Court were left completely under water.

Northumbria Police warned people to take extra care in the adverse weather conditions.

A police spokesman said the places worst affected were Northumberland, North Tyneside and the Newcastle Quayside.

Residents in Rhyl, North Wales, have been ferried to safety from flooded homes by lifeboats as the storm battered the coast and flooded dozens of homes.

A school in the town also had to be evacuated because of fast-flowing water.

This evening, North Wales Police said the immediate risks caused by the high winds and tides had abated.

But Sky s Nick Martin, in Rhyl, said there was still much concern in the town about high tide, which is due around midnight.

There is a great deal of anxiety that they might see a repeat of what happened earlier as that surge broke through the sea defences and flooded about 70 homes, he said.

Many of the residents in Rhyl who have been affected are vulnerable and elderly.

Meanwhile, in north Norfolk, Allan Urquhart, who lives on the seafront at Blakeney, brought a rowing boat to the King s Arm pub to collect a friend.

I m going to row back to the house and we ll stay upstairs tonight, he said.

We ve put sandbags in place so hopefully we ll be ok, I m as confident as I can be.

This is the worst flooding I ve seen so it could be a difficult night for lots of people.

Sky s David Crabtree, in Blakeney, said: Quite a number of buildings in this very small community have been flooded.

It s very hard to tell exactly how many as it s impossible to get access to much of the village.

UK Hit By High Winds
A tree crushes a car in Glasgow

Tidal floods were also expected in Germany and Scandinavia, together with freezing high winds from Greenland.

Across the UK, tens of thousands of properties have been hit by power cuts as winds battered powerlines.

The adverse weather has also caused chaos to the transport network.

This morning rail services for Scotland and parts of the north of England were suspended.

Trains were halted at their nearest stations and passengers told to disembark after Network Rail said debris on lines and damage to equipment meant it was not safe to operate any services.

Weather

National Rail said train services in Scotland and northern England are starting to run again as routes are cleared of debris.

A spokesman said that the network is also taking steps to prepare for the storm surge expected to hit the East of England tonight.

A number of flights have also been disrupted by the bad weather.

And closures, fallen trees, minor accidents and incidents of flash flooding are affecting the road network in many parts of the UK.

Being obese is not a crime.

But letting a child get that way is.

A couple in Norfolk, UK, was arrested a couple of months ago on suspicion of cruelty and neglect of their child.

The British press reported on the case recently.

Their 11-year-old son is 1.55m tall and weighs more than 95kg11.

His body mass index (BMI) is a shocking 41.8, reported The Sun.

A person with a BMI above 27.5 is considered to be at high risk, according to the Health Promotion Board.

Intervention at such a level is rare and occurs only when other attempts to protect the child22 have proven unsuccessful, BBC News quoted the police as saying.

The 49-year-old father and the 44-year-old woman are out on bail.

The boy s teachers had apparently contacted social services after becoming concerned by his increasing weight.

The Telegraph quoted the boy s father as saying: Our son s favourite snack is steamed broccoli33 and he s still big.

Norfolk, Va. It s the season of giving, shopping and spending money.

Unfortunately, for criminals, that also means the season of lots of opportunities.

With large crowds come folks that are there for the wrong reason, as we know, says Jim Wofford, General Manager of the MacArthur Center in downtown Norfolk.

That reason is why Norfolk Police tell NewsChannel 3 that they are stepping up their holiday patrols.

At the MacArthur Center, Wofford says shoppers will see security both inside the mall and out in the parking garages.

However, both police and mall officials say shopper safety starts with the shoppers themselves.

Norfolk Police Department Public Information Officer Daniel Hudson recommends that shoppers leave big, flashy purses at home.

Bring your cash, but don t bring a lot of cash, have your credit cards and keep those in your front pockets, says Officer Hudson. Make sure your hands are free don t have anything in your hands.

Additionally, the quick trip from inside the mall to the parking lot, according to Wofford and Hudson, is when shoppers need to be aware.

The first step is to not carry too many bags.

Go to the car and place them in your trunk then go back and complete your shopping, says Wofford.

When you do leave items in your car, Officer Hudson says it is important to hide them completely out of sight.

Overall, he says, the best thing people can do is not let the holiday craze distract them.

The biggest thing I want people to be aware of is to be aware of their surroundings and trust their instincts while shopping.

Many people will remember Peter Falk121 best as the detective on the hit television series Columbo, but PETA will remember him fondly as a real-life hero for animals.

He was one our first celebrity supporters and helped us defeat Bobby Berosini132, the Las Vegas animal trainer who was caught beating the orangutans he used in his nightclub act, more than two decades ago.

Peter took his concern for animals with him to the workplace, too, permitting only cruelty-free cosmetics143 on the set of Columbo.

He signed PETA s Get Gillette Off the Set petition, demanding the removal of Gillette products from all studio sets, offices, and facilities.

On PETA s behalf, Peter wrote to the Fraternal Order of Police to ask police and sheriff s departments not to use elephants154 in fundraisers, saying, You do not have to be a detective to know that, after years of confinement, chains, and beatings with bullhooks, these animals are going to rebel.

He also penned a letter165 to law-enforcement officials, reminding them that people who abuse and kill animals rarely stop there; cruelty to animals176 is often a precursor to other violent crimes.

Peter did his best to help solve cruelty to animals, and he will be sorely missed by his friends at PETA.

Subaru employee John Dickenson removes a protective plastic dust cover from a transmission at the Lafayette, Ind., plant in this 2008 file photo(Photo: Tom Strickland for USA TODAY)

Story Highlights

  • Toyota Camrys will no longer be made at Subaru s plant in Lafayette, Ind.
  • Toyota has decided not to renew a five-year contract
  • Subaru is partially owned by Toyota

LOUISVILLE, Ky. Toyota Camry no longer will come off the assembly line in 2017 at Subaru of Indiana Automotive s factory in Lafayette.

SIA s five-year contract with Toyota will not be renewed another time, Subaru executives said Wednesday. The Lafayette plant has built Camrys alongside Subaru s Legacy, Outback and Tribeca models since 2007.

The contract is expected to finish by the end of 2016.

Based on changes in Toyota s production plans, they have decided that the award-winning Camry production contract will not be renewed, said Tom Easterday, SIA s executive vice president.

Toyota is the top shareholder in Subaru, holding a 16.5 percent stake in the company.

Easterday said he does not expect any reduction in SIA s workforce in light of the announcement, but an announcement the company made back in May about adding hundreds of jobs may not come to fruition as quickly as he expected.

Subaru executives announced in May that the Lafayette plant will begin producing the Impreza by the end of 2016.

That was to add 900 jobs to SIA s workforce of 3,600.

Easterday said the jobs created by the Impreza expansion will more than offset any Camry-related loss.

There will be no loss of jobs at SIA as a result of this, Easterday said. We also know there are future projects that Subaru has in mind for our plant that should add several hundred jobs in the future, possibly by 2018.

The Toyota Camry, which is also built at a plant in Georgetown, Ky., is America s best-selling car. When the first one rolled off the line in Lafayette, it was the result of a $230 million investment that gave SIA the capacity to produce 100,000 Camrys a year.

Easterday said the announcement came as a surprise.

We had been informed back in the spring that we would be building the next generation Camry, Easterday said.

Despite the news, Easterday said expansions to the paint shop, engine assembly shop and trim shop will continue.

Employees who primarily worked on Camry production will be retrained to work on Subarus.

Camry leaving Lafayette means the plant could end up producing another Subaru model, Easterday said.

Even though we d like to continue producing the Camry, Easterday said, this decision does open up the possibility of SIA s production of another Subaru (model).

Scarcely a week goes by without news of yet another blaze raging at a recycling or waste plant. Costing the Fire Service and taxpayer a fortune and disrupting the lives of nearby residents, recycling plant fires are often extremely unpredictable and difficult to contain owing to the flammability of materials like timber and paper.

Locals often have to close windows and doors and remain in their homes for the duration of the fires, which typically burn for several days. Infernos and plumes of smoke can also threaten infrastructure such as buildings, roads and railways in high winds. …

Dr David Gold, a chartered safety and health practitioner and founder of Gold-Knecht Associates, wrote the following article for our sister site, SHP Online: Security guards, be they employees or persons employed by a contracted security service, have important responsibilities to fulfill.

A responsible security guard is trained and actively ensures that lives and property are protected from natural or human events, be they accidental or malicious. Similar to the role of the safety and health practitioner, the security should have the training (resulting in the knowledge and skills) and experience to prevent incidents from occurring as well as the competencies to intervene if an incident should occur. Thus the security guard must be able to continually focus on prevention, protection and emergency intervention in dealing with the protection of lives and property.

Arts 1 / Television 2 / Small Screen 3 Small Town Security : Claustrophobic, visually repellent, and really good Posted By Gwynedd Stuart 4 on 05.15.13 at 02:43 PM After I watched the second-season premiere of AMC’s Small Town Security 5 , I had a weird conversation with my mom. “I love them,” she said about the show’s cast. “I want to work with them. I want to live with them.” First of all, I had no idea how much she hates living with my dad. Second, that’s an emphatic endorsement from someone who tends to be unwilling to suspend disbelief long enough to enjoy a reality show.

I’m extremely willing if I’m entertained enough.

I watch this phony-baloney bullshit 6 . We still friends?

Oh, gooood. But it makes sense that a person could become attached to the cast of Small Town Security , because the show is fucking visceral: kind of stinky, claustrophobic, sometimes visually repellent, but in a way that makes you feel at home with a group of five strangers who operate a private security company in Ringgold, Georgia.

They sure feel at home with us.

Until last week, the only clip I’d seen of it involved its “star,” JJK Security matriarch Joan Koplan laughing until she pissed her pants 7 . The bulk of the show takes place inside the security company’s headquarters, a small clapboard house that’s too full full of people, full of stuff. Joan’s husband, Irwin, appears to be a hoarder.

Joan, a sixtysomething native New Yorker who belches and curses and has her own cable-access show (I just described my mother, by the way, up until the cable-access part), is perpetually glued to a sofa, and the action tends to revolve around her.

Is she slothful? No.

She has Parkinson’s disease. And what about Dennis, the security force’s lieutenant, who pays a bizarre amount of attention to married Joan, frequently kneeling down in front of her to rub her feet and legs?

Well, Dennis “D” for short is transgender and living as a man for the first time.

He and Joan are old friends and have a love for each other that appears to go a lot deeper than the superficial impropriety of some massages and hugs. Networks use the term “unscripted reality” really loosely. Maybe there’s no script, but c’maaan there’s some direction, an outline, guidance for what cast members need to accomplish over the course of a scene to keep the narrative moving.

The narrative they’re working on this season: in the wake of the first season, JKK’s business has suffered, because it turns out people don’t want their car dealerships being watched over by sentinels with bladder-control problems and cameras following them everywhere.

It’s the downside of sudden fame, the upside being that they’re for sure being compensated by the network. The “unscripted reality” ruse shouldn’t necessarily bother audiences.

It means the cast is in on it; we’re not just shameless gawkers. We’re getting to know these oddly interesting people in a controlled if unflinching way.

And now that I’ve gotten to know the Small Town Security cast, I can’t say I’d necessarily want to live with them.

But it’s fun to visit once in a while. Gwynedd Stuart writes about TV on Wednesdays. Share & Comment Police are also trying to trace a mystery western woman seen on CCTV running along the main street in the early hours on the night of the murders Source 1 VIEW GALLERY Murdered British backpacker Hannah Witheridge may have been raped by two local men, police in Thailand fear.

DNA found on her body came from two unknown Asian men, tests revealed. Detectives are also probing reports that she and fellow British victim David Miller, 24, were involved in a row in a bar with a local gangster, who had tried to chat Hannah up.

But there were fears the killer may already have fled the island of Koh Tao where the pair died. Police are also trying to trace a mystery western woman seen on CCTV running along the main street in the early hours on the night of the murders.

And they are probing claims a drug called ya ba may have been involved in the murder.

The pill is available in certain bars on the island along with crystal meth. Thailand s police chief Somyot Poompanmoung who flew to Koh Tao to oversee the investigation last night said the victims had been tested for drugs but he refused to disclose the results out of respect for the family . He added: We still don t know who did it but DNA tests show an Asian was responsible. “I don t know if the killer is still on the island.

We have some new leads but no new suspects.

I will do my best to solve this crime. “We are so sorry. He said Hannah s parents, who flew to Bangkok earlier in the week, had flown home and would not be visiting Koh Tao.

CCTV footage released showed Hannah of Hemsby, Norfolk, on the night of her murder, wearing a pink top and white skirt as she walked with friends. There were also new images of David and his friend Chris Ware, both from Jersey.

David reportedly left his hotel room to go and find Hannah at around 1am.

He is seen shaking hands with an unknown local man in a red shirt with the number 9 on the back. Later he is filmed with an unknown man and woman. Tragedy: Police fear the killer may already have fled the island of Koh Tao Police were examining the footage as it changed some of their thoughts on the timing of events on the night of the killings.

They now believe Hannah and David who met hours before they were killed enjoyed drinks together in Aussie expat haunt Choppers Bar and Grill before moving on to the AC nightclub.

They later wandered on to the beach where they were attacked. There were claims David may have been trying to save Hannah from her attacker.

The pair were bludgeoned to death early on Monday. A bloodied garden hoe was found nearby and police believe a second weapon was used.

The probe has been hampered by silence from locals.

A source said: There is a real underbelly on this island and no one is talking. People are afraid. “If the killer was a local, as many suspect, they just won t speak to the police. Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha has demanded fast action on tourist safety.

He said Thailand has no future if further incidents occur.

Metropolitan police officers on a stop and search operation in south London.

Photograph: John Stillwell/PA The new Stop and Search figures are out today. The data shows that out of all the searches made under Section 44(1) and (2) of the Terrorism Act none resulted in arrests for terrorism offences and less than 1% resulted in arrests for other offences.

We ve extracted some of the data for you from the excel document the Home Office published today. The data for searches made under terrorism legislation is broken down by police force and ethnicity for England and Wales between the financial year 2010-2011.

It shows that most searches made under terrorism legislation were conducted in London by the Metropolitan Police (9,913 out of 11,792).

It also shows that none of the searches made under terrorism legislation in Wales resulted in any arrests, with just 79 of all such searches resulting in arrests for other offences. Stop and search has always been a controversial area. In January 2009, the Government s anti-terror policy was thrown into turmoil after the European Court of Human Rights ruled that police who use Section 44 without grounds for suspicion are violating individual freedoms and acting illegally.

Until it was repealed in March last year, Section 44 allowed any police force authorised by the home secretary to randomly stop and search any person or vehicle on suspicion of terrorism.

Section 47A took its place afterwards. In addition to terrorism legislation, stops and searches are also performed under Section 1 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE) and Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994.

As Section 1 is the most general, it has recorded the most incidents: no less than 1,205,495 last financial year, or 94.42% of the total searchs. While searches under Section 1 of PACE can be made by any officer, searches under Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 need to have the authorisation of a more senior officer, because they usually involve suspicion of a serious violence.

Last year these amounted to 60,180.

Although considerably fewer than the more general Section 1 searches these were still almost six times the searches under terrorism legislation. Furthermore as the graph below shows, stops and searches made under Section 1 of PACE are at their highest since 2001. Section 60 searches have almost halved compared to the previous year and Section 44 searches are at their lowest since 2001.

Stops and searches in England and WalesSection 1Section 60Section 442001/022002/032003/042004/052005/062006/072007/082008/092009/102010/1103000006000009000001200000 Looking at the breakdown by ethnicity of arrests made following these searches, which were not necessarily made under the sections the searches were conducted, almost 5 times more white people were arrested on the whole than black people.

Still if we take individual sections into account, and as the graph below shows, under Section 60 a similar number of arrests were made for both white and black people, while arrests for asians amounted to half of this number; 505, 532 and 204 respectively. Stop and search arrests England andWales, 2010-2011WhiteBlack (orBlack British)Asian (orAsian British)Chinese orOtherMixedNot statedSection 1Section 60Section 44020000400006000080000 It also needs to be noted that these figures are not proportional with population numbers and thus don t paint an accurate picture of the ethnic breakdown of arrests following stops and searches.

Whether it s due to population, local economy, or the cost of living, not every city can offer the same level of job opportunity as another.

Here are the U.S. cities that offer the best chance for finding a job right now.

A recent report from Glassdoor 1 , the job search and review web site, compared U.S. cities based on their population, the number of job openings available, the median home value, and the median base salary.

They also included a job satisfaction rating based on reviews from thousands of local employees.

Based on their scale, they came up with the top 25 cities for finding a job.

Here are the top five: Raleigh, NC Kansas City, MO Oklahoma City, OK Austin, TX Seattle, WA It s not surprising to see Raleigh at the top with tech companies like IBM, Cisco, and SAS setting up shop there.

It doesn t hurt that the area is affordable to buy a home and live in either.

It s the fight that seems to never ends .

and this time it s Amber Rose taking aim once again!

In a new interview with GQ magazine, the outspoken model strips off to pose in naked for a sexy photoshoot and also to talk about her Twitter spat with Khloe Kardashian earlier this year.

I said to Khlo Kardashian, Your sister Kylie Jenner has a career because your other sister Kim Kardashian made a sex tape and put the whole family on, Amber, 32, revealed.

I think it s f***ing awesome that she did a sex tape and made millions of dollars for her family.

But let s not forget where we came from. Because I didn t.

Khloe Kardashian & Kylie Jenner.

Their war of words came after Amber called Kylie Jenner a baby that she should be at home in bed and not out on the town with her her BFF Blac Chyna s ex Tyga, 24.

Her comments then caused Khloe to retaliate, and call out Amber for stripping at the age of 15 telling her she wasn t at home at bed.

But the feud didn t stop there! Amber s ex and Kim s husband Kanye West then told Power 105.1 s The Breakfast Club that Amber wouldn t have a career without him, and that if If Kim had dated me when I wanted, there would be no Amber Rose. Ouch!

I m not going to say young girls should go be dancers.

But that was my journey, and I don t regret it, Amber says. So don t think you re better than me, because we ve all had trials and tribulations.

As a woman, it s like f***!

You have to act like a nun for a guy to respect you. And even if you do wait to have sex and you re very comfortable and you do exactly what you want to do in that moment, you still have to be very careful because you don t want to be looked at as a ho.

The How To Be A Bad Bitch author also talked about her recent appearance at the Slut Walk event in LA.

I ve been slut shamed by both of my exes, you know?

she told the magazine, also referring to her baby daddy, rapper Wiz Khalifa, who is the dad of her son Sebastian.

However, when GQ s interview was published on Tuesday, Amber wasn t happy about how she s been portrayed!

Yikes!

Really @gq??? I m so much more then Kanye s Ex or Wiz s baby s mama. Damn, why the f*** did u guys reach out to me for this article and photoshoot?

she tweeted.

To dumb me down? I talked about feminism and my Slutwalk Wtf nice title smh I expected so much more from u guys and I m so disappointed.

I was so excited to be featured in GQ not realizing I was shooting for a tabloid. My slutwalk was for ignorant s*it like this.

Oh Her beautiful dark twisted journey to the top ?

Nice pun.

Negative af.

Thx for nothing.

Checks were conducted on door supervisors working in Great Yarmouth on Friday night, August 7, as part of operation to ensure public safety.

The Security Industry Authority and Norfolk Constabulary checked that door staff held and displayed valid SIA licences.

At pubs, bars and a caravan park, 27 operatives were inspected. One individual was warned for failing to display their licence.

Nigel Davies, an SIA Head of Investigation said: I am pleased with the high compliance found on Friday night. During the summer months, Great Yarmouth becomes a popular holiday spot for families so it is important that the necessary security arrangements are in place to maintain public safety only SIA licensed operatives should be working in positions of trust.

PC Jeremy Brown of Norfolk Constabulary s licensing Regulation Team said: We are working very closely with the SIA and other partners to ensure that people who live in Great Yarmouth or visit the town can be confident that the premises in the area operate to the highest of standards.

It reflects well that on the whole, the licensed industry within the town are taking their responsibilities within the law seriously and operating professional establishments.

It will be illegal to undertake any surveillance or investigation activity without holding an SIA Professional Investigators Licence, expected to be announced by the Home Office in 2015 and implemented by the Security Industry Authority.

Our range of specialist training programs have been uniquely developed to prepare the student for the reality of covert assignments in the commercial world.

We train the student to the highest standards possible using relevant up to date methods that reflect real operational situations.

The structure of the training is based on covert operational assignments in the UK and overseas from 1995 to present and our involvement training varied law enforcement agencies internationally.

Our training is based on reality, not idealism.

The student will be given tuition based on real covert investigation and surveillance situations. ESS are not just a training company; we are operational at the highest levels of specialist security and investigation.

Every assignment we undertake is debriefed and analysed to benefit our training programs. The result is a training system that empowers the student to effectively undertake assignments and achieve a viable commercial presence.

The bespoke training programs are accredited to Level 3 and 4 with the leading investigation qualification awarding body Industry Qualifications (IQ)151.

NOTE: All SIA endorsed Professional Investigation Level 3 courses are still awaiting final approval from the Security Industry Authority for PI licence application.

At present, no training provider is able to guarantee that the qualification, in its current form, will be sufficient proof of competency to apply for the Professional Investigators Licence.

ESS will offer students free of charge, and by distance learning, any minor top-up to the existing qualification that may be required.

ESS Consulting have attended meetings with the SIA and Home Office officials and it is our belief that our IQ Level 3 Award for Professional Investigators will be accepted as the standard required for licence application.

On successful completion of a training program, students will receive a nationally recognised qualification but more importantly they will have gained skills based on reality which will enable them to work within a demanding and highly skilled industry.

Training with ESS means you will have continued professional development opportunities and become a Professional Investigator, not just an operative.
